Stuck doing the same thing, having the same routine, every single day. Sure, some things may vary during each day, but mostly you have a pretty set routine each day.
When we are not happy with our current life, we want to change it all. It can become so paralysing and overwhelming that we never change anything.
"And suddenly you know ... It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings"
What I have discovered, is that by making one, and often small, change in your daily routine, it can actually have a flow-on effect. It is simply breaking your routine somewhere along your day and adding something new in.
For me, the morning routine is the best place to start a small change. Usually, I would wake up early and head straight upstairs to my office and start my working day. Even before having something to eat or drink. No forward thought about what I wanted out of the day.
I have recently sold my business and now I don't have the pressure to get orders processed and out urgently. I have allowed myself some space in the morning. No more rushing!
My husband brings a delicious coffee to me in bed. I sit up and read my 'new' whiteboard, that is full of all my intentions for the future.
What I have added into my morning routine is journalling. For a long time, ironically whilst running my business selling gratitude journals, my own journalling fell by the wayside. I have added this in before I even get out of bed now. I write what I am grateful for, but I have also added in my affirmations and visualisations. I spend some time sitting, feeling and imagining all the things I want my life to be like.
Already, things seem to be changing and I feel a lot calmer and more focused on what I want in life. It feels like more changes are on their way. I want to make changes without overwhelm or stress. Little by little, I will get where I want to go.
